As a sophomore at the University of Colorado Boulder, Mark Woodard decided to rip out the inside of his landscaping work van and convert it into a camper van, taking it on a multi-week, eight–national park road trip.
When he later listed the van for sale in Boulder, it sold in three days for a $4,000 profit. He did it again in his junior year and this time made $18,000.
“I fell in love with it,” Woodard said. “I fell in love with the freedom of it, I fell in love with building it.”…
