Denver Zoo opens nighttime event ‘Glowing Wild’

Have you ever wanted to see the Denver Zoo in the dark?

The “Glowing Wild” experience at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA) returned for its second year on March 13, offering guests evening access to the zoo on select nights.

The after-dark experience features more than 170 lantern sculptures handcrafted by Chinese artisans. Guests can explore 60 illuminated scenes featuring interactive landscapes from around the world.

“As guests explore DZCA’s 80-acre campus, they’ll be transported across the globe through stunning wildlife lantern installations, including a moose standing 20 feet tall and 60 feet wide; a family of African lions inspired by DZCA’s own pride in Predator Ridge; and many other immersive and interactive surprises along the way,” Jake Kubié, spokesperson for the zoo, wrote in a news release…
