Getting an appointment at the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles remains a frustrating process for some residents, even as the agency makes changes aimed at cutting down on long waits and reducing missed appointments.
One driver said he came in hoping to fix an issue with his vehicle registration, only to learn he needed an appointment. “She told me at the window there I had to have an appointment… I come in here, fight the traffic, get up early, inconvenience my time, come in to here to do this. And all of a sudden, well, you got to have an appointment to do. And I’m standing in line for about 45 minutes. ” Terry Smith a Reno resident said.
