Victor Ledezma Caballero, a Reno man convicted of reckless driving in a December 2023 wrongway crash that left three people injured, has been sentenced, court records show. The crash, which involved a fiery collision.
Prosecutors had requested the maximum penalty of 28 to 72 months for each count, while the defense sought probation. Judge Riggs ultimately sentenced Caballero to 28 to 72 months on both counts, to run concurrently, but then suspended the prison time and instead imposed 36 months of supervised probation.
In addition to probation, Caballero is required to serve eight months in jail (with credit for 60 days already served), complete alcohol and controlledsubstance therapy, undergo a substance use evaluation after his jail term, and is subject to search and seizure.
