The Phillipsburg father of three who never owned a vehicle and walked everywhere, was killed Friday crossing the highway he had navigated safely hundreds of times, his mother said.
Robin Madsen recalled her eldest child, Mark Madsen, 40, as a hard worker, father, brother and partner who adored the town he grew up in. Mark never even got a driver’s license.
Instead, his mother said he favored a simple life, taking the bus or walking to the places he needed to get to, she said…
