Deputies from the Union County Sheriff’s Office — Indian Trail Contract Division recovered a stolen U-Haul truck over the weekend that had been reported stolen out of Mecklenburg County. After stopping the vehicle, they identified the driver as Latoya Washington.
During the investigation, deputies found that Washington had outstanding warrants in Gaston County and Mecklenburg County for obtaining property by false pretenses from incidents in 2020 and 2021.
