A Charlotte third-party logistics company will be permanently laying off over 80 people by mid-May.
Due to a cancelled contract, Kenco Logistic Services will no longer serve its client at 11907 General Drive off of Westinghouse Boulevard, close to the South Carolina border.
Kenco will be laying off 86 workers by May 17, according to an N.C. Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) report filed last week with the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Such notices are required by federal law during mass layoffs…
