Charges filed in the fatal stabbing of a man at a Detroit liquor store

DETROIT (WWJ) — Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced that two people were charged in connection to the fatal stabbing of a Detroit man.

54-year-old Steven Hooks and 31-year-old Bernice Chenevert, both of Detroit, were arraigned Friday on one charge of premeditated first-degree murder each.

The incident occurred on March 10 at a liquor store in the 14800 block of Livernois Avenue at 11:54 p.m., according to the Prosecutor’s Office. 40-year-old Cordell Harris reportedly spoke to Chenevert, before an argument started…
