GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — A man is facing neglect charges after authorities say he caused near-fatal injuries to his own baby.
Sheriff Bruce Vanoven says this case is tragic. He’s a parent and grandparent himself and says seeing something like this happen to an innocent child takes a toll on everyone involved.
“I’ve been in law enforcement for 25 years, and these cases never get easier to take,” Vanoven said. “When you think of innocence, you think of children. And there is nothing more innocent than an infant you’ve been given.”…
