Multiple people fall sick from cheese ‘very likely’ made in Fresno, FDA says

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Multiple people across the country, including children, have fallen ill with E. coli from a cheese the FDA says was “very likely” produced in Fresno.

The FDA called for the company, Raw Farm, to recall its products, but they declined, stating that investigators have not definitively linked them to any illnesses.

“They have found no pathogens in any of our products,” owner Mark McAfee said. “In the past, we’ve had recalls, we’ve owned it, whether we agreed or disagreed, we’ve always learned something, and we’re proud of it. This is different.”…
