Limestone County customers to receive $20 credit following water issues in early March

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Customers of the Limestone County Water & Sewer Authority will receive a $20 credit on their bills following water quality issues reported during the week of March 2.

The issues primarily affected customers in the East Limestone area, where residents experienced discolored, brown, or cloudy water after crews connected a new water line to the existing system. While the water authority maintained the water was safe for use, many residents raised concerns about its appearance and usability. In response, the utility distributed bottled water to affected households and flushed the system to restore normal conditions.
