Construction is under way on a new TownePlace Suites by Marriott on Eastern Shore Boulevard in the Eastern Shore Centre in Spanish Fort, and city officials also recently held a beam signing or topping out ceremony for a Tru by Hilton hotel.
Together, the two new hotels will provide almost 200 rooms and meeting spaces.
