Nashville man’s body recovered after drowning in Tims Ford Lake

WINCHESTER, Tenn. (WSMV) – After hours of searching, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday that divers located and recovered the body of a drowning victim at Tims Ford Lake.

Franklin County deputies, along with personnel from the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, were dispatched to Devil’s Step boat ramp for reports of a possible drowning at about 3:30 Sunday afternoon.

The agencies were at the scene investigating for hours, looking for the missing boater. Severe weather forced officials to pause the search Sunday evening, but the sheriff’s office returned to the lake at 8 a.m. Monday to continue the search…
