SYLVANIA, Ohio — It has been about a week since the Monroe Street bridge over U.S. 23 closed for construction in Sylvania, and some nearby business owners say the disruption is already affecting their daily operations.
The bridge closed as part of a major project by the Ohio Department of Transportation to widen the bridge, reconstruct on-ramps and improve traffic safety at the busy interchange. The closure is expected to last about 150 days, with the project wrapping up in early August.
