High Grounds Lounge Coffeehouse and Roastery is preparing to open its newest location in Carney’s Point this April, marking the third coffee-focused concept from South Jersey owner Chuck Garrity.
Garrity also operates High Grounds in Glassboro as well as The Death of the Fox Brewery and Coffeehouse in Clarksboro.
The new Salem County shop is located just off Exit 4 of Route 295, around the corner from Roman’s Pantry grocery and sandwich shop. When I stopped by this weekend, the build-out was largely complete, with crews installing lounge chairs and counter stools, while recently delivered coffee equipment is expected to be set up in the coming days.
When opened next month, customers will find find delicious coffee made from beans roasted on-site, freshly prepared food (sandwiches, soups), unique wellness inspired drinks and more.
While the immediate goal is opening the coffee shop next month, Chuck already has plans to expand the experience…
