DALLAS — Dallas City Council and city staff are doing “prudent due diligence” by exploring other options for City Hall, Mayor Eric Johnson said in a recent defense of the city’s deliberations over the fate of the current building.
Several weeks ago, the city council spent 16 hours discussing the fate of the iconic, I.M. Pei-designed building, which is said to require a billion dollars in improvements. After the lengthy discussion, council members voted to explore other options for City Hall’s location.
