Bank files foreclosure lawsuit against Tim’s Tavern; restaurant marked as ‘closed’

BENTON, Ark. (KATV) — A bank has filed a foreclosure lawsuit against Benton restaurant Tim’s Tavern, whose owner was accused of sexually assaulting his ex-employees.

According to court documents, Centennial Bank says that restaurant owner Timothy Steppach took out a loan of $97,000 in October 2022. The complaint alleges that Steppach still owes the bank $42,135 plus an additional $1,000 in interest and loan charges.

The lawsuit would allow Centennial to take and sell the property to recoup on the defaulted payments…
