The City of Aurora IL Animal Care and Control is sharing safety tips for National Poison Prevention Week to help keep pets safe. Chocolate is the top poison risk for pets in Illinois, leading to many emergency visits each year. Other hazards include grapes, xylitol found in gum and candy, household chemicals, and toxic plants.
