The California Highway Patrol North Sacramento Area marked the tenth anniversary of the loss of Officer Nathan Taylor (#20154). On March 12, 2016, Officer Taylor was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic on Interstate 80 westbound at Castle Peak Road during heavy snow conditions. He later passed away on March 13, 2016, at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.
