TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WBRC) – A jury was charged Tuesday, March 17, and will soon begin deliberating on a verdict in the capital murder trial of Ibraheem Yazeed, the man accused of kidnapping and killing Homewood native Aniah Blanchard in 2019.
Yazeed faces two counts of capital murder in connection with Blanchard’s death. One is for kidnapping and one is for robbery.
There was one additional charge of capital murder related to Yazeed allegedly shooting and killing Blanchard while inside her vehicle. Before closing arguments began Tuesday, state prosecutors asked the judge to dismiss this third charge…
