Officers responded to 291 Liberty St., Apt. 52 on Monday, March 16 for a reported assault and learned the victim had been attacked by her ex daughter-in-law, Jieon Ha, who fled the scene before police arrived, according to Little Ferry Police Chief James Walters.
The victim suffered severe bruising and swelling to her face, hands, and neck, along with bleeding from her mouth, and was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center’s trauma unit, Walters said.
The victim told officers she was lying in bed when Ha entered the room and began hitting her in the face and head, then grabbed her and attempted to strangle her with a hair dryer cord before taking jewelry and a gold bar valued at more than $5,000 and fleeing, police said…
