Juvenile suspect in deadly North Carolina shooting dies of self-inflicted gunshot

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — A juvenile accused of shooting and killing a man in Asheville on Monday has died, police said.

Details remain limited, but investigators with the Asheville Police Department said the suspect is believed to have acted alone in the shooting.

The shooting occurred around 1:04 a.m., when officers said they were called to Patton Avenue near New Leicester Highway for a gunshot victim. At the scene, investigators said they found 20-year-old William Wyatt Adair dead from a gunshot wound.
