Four arrested after ‘assault by mob’ of bouncer outside Park Circle arcade bar

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Four men were arrested Saturday night after they were allegedly denied entry by a bouncer to a Park Circle arcade bar due to their level of intoxication, only to return minutes later and assault him by mob.

Around 9 p.m. Saturday evening, the bouncer, who works at Pinky & Clyde’s Arcade Bar, and the four men were involved in an argument over their denial of entry to the bar, and they had to be pushed back from the entrance in the altercation, according to what he told the North Charleston Police Department. The victim said that around 10-15 minutes later, the four men returned and one sucker-punched him before they all joined in to assault him. The bouncer was able to escape when patrons and a witness intervened, according to NCPD.

Officers arrived on scene and were pointed to a vehicle the four suspects had gotten into. The vehicle was stopped and the four men were taken into custody. Two firearms were found inside the vehicle, one of which was allegedly in the waistband of one of the attackers during the initial altercation, NCPD said. He reportedly lifted his shirt to display it to the victim and a witness, and it fell out of his shirt when a witness attempted to subdue him.
