VCSO: Evansville woman faces charges of neglect of dependent, animal cruelty

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – An Evansville woman is facing several charges, after authorities say, she left her brother and her children in deplorable conditions.

On February 6, just before 5;00 p.m., A Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputy was sent out to a home in the 6900 block of Hogue Road in reference to a check welfare. The caller, identified as Blake Asher, advised police that people were controlling his mind.

He also told police that his mother was strangled and he’s living inside of her body. The deputy talked with Asher, who said he was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and had been released from the state hospital four months prior…
