WATCH: Florida man arrested after shoplifting incident leads to pursuit of ‘armed felon,” deputies say

NEWBERRY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man was arrested on March 13 after he fled from deputies who were investigating a shoplifting incident in Newberry and noticed a firearm in his pants, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Body camera footage of the incident shows the man, Kobe Delima, 23, as he walked past a deputy and appeared to be covering a “large bulge” protruding from his waistband with his left hand.
