Two Rockingham County detention officers have been suspended after a use-of-force incident at the county jail left an inmate hospitalized, the sheriff’s office announced Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Monday at the Rockingham County Detention Facility. Sheriff Sam Page said he and facility administration were notified of the incident shortly after it took place.
