Florida army reserve captain Cody Khork returns to Polk County after death in Kuwait

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida Army veteran killed in the line of duty is being returned to his home state.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Army Reserve Major Cody Khork will return to Polk County on Wednesday. The sheriff’s office says that sometime after 1 p.m., its agency and partnering agencies will escort his remains from the Lakeland Linder International Airport to Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Winter Haven.

PCSO advises travelers that while Khork’s remains are escorted, routes will be stopped and congested for two hours from the time the procession leaves the airport and arrives in Winter Haven…
