BODYCAM: Stolen Port St. Lucie car smashes into Pensacola playhouse during wild pursuit

PENSACOLA, Fla. (CBS12) — A high-speed chase ended in a backyard crash in Pensacola after deputies spotted a car reported stolen out of Port St. Lucie.

According to deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit began Thursday when a license plate reader alerted deputies to a stolen white Nissan Versa traveling along Olive Road. When a deputy attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over, sparking a chase that moved onto Burgess Road.
