Unwanted contact reported at St. John Fisher University; sheriff investigating

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigation is underway after a female staff member at St. John Fisher University said she was followed and touched without consent on campus grounds Sunday morning.

The incident happened just before 8 a.m. according to the university’s Office of Safety and Security, which called deputies just before 10 a.m. The victim told investigators that a man followed her from a bus stop on Fairport Road and made unwanted physical contact as she walked onto campus. She was not injured and immediately reported the encounter to campus security.

Authorities described the suspect as a Black male wearing a black jacket, khaki pants, black shoes, and carrying a black backpack. Deputies reviewed campus security footage and searched the surrounding area but the suspect had already left the scene…
