Former employee’s rampage ends in arrest after damage at Spokane business

SPOKANE, Wash. – A former employee is facing charges after allegedly causing thousands of dollars in damage during a chaotic confrontation at a Spokane business Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release, deputies with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office responded around 12:30 p.m. on March 16, 2026, to reports of an irate former employee at a business in the 8300 block of N. Market Street. The man had reportedly forced open a locked back door and rammed a gate with his vehicle.

When deputies arrived, they found him sitting in a black Jeep inside the fenced area. After establishing probable cause, deputies told him he was being detained, but he initially refused to exit the vehicle and made a derogatory hand gesture…
