EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A trial date has now been set for a 15-year-old accused in a deadly shooting back in November 2025 in Evansville.
Adawn’yea Meriweather is charged with Murder and Robbery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
Mariweather was in court on Tuesday, March 17, where his trial is now set for August 31 at 8:00 a.m.
Police say Mariweather was one of several teens involved in the death of Josiah Madrid along Marshall Avenue in Evansville.
