DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)— A semi driver was injured after the truck he was driving overturned in eastern DeKalb County Tuesday night.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, the driver of the semi veered off the roadway into the shoulder around 8:19 p.m. It happened as the driver was headed eastbound on State Road 8 near the intersection with State Road 1.
The sheriff’s department said the truck was then pulled off the roadway due to the steep nature of the ditch on the side of the road. The semi then overturned and landed on its top.
The driver, a 51-year-old man from Iowa, was taken to a hospital with head injuries. The sheriff’s department deemed the damage to the semi a total loss…
