Video: MSP troopers wrangle escaped horse into nearby barn amid blizzard

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Troopers rescued a horse stuck in a blizzard in the Upper Peninsula on Monday, video shows.

Bodycam footage posted by Michigan State Police to social media Tuesday shows two troopers approaching the horse on the side of the road amid blowing snow.

“It’s not every day troopers give a police escort to a horse,” the social media post says. “This young horse escaped from a farm and ran about a mile north on M-129 in yesterday’s blizzard.”

The troopers were able to guide the horse into a neighbor’s barn, MSP said, where she stayed until her owner could come get her…
