ALACHUA COUNTY, Florida – A 42-year-old man with a criminal history was arrested Sunday night after deputies say he assaulted a pregnant woman during a robbery in Hawthorne.
During the evening hours of March 15, 2026, deputies responded to a residence in the 22000 block of Southeast 65th Lane following a report of a robbery. The caller reported that a man had stolen a phone and pushed the victim against a vehicle.
When deputies arrived, they made contact with the victim and witnesses. The victim, who is pregnant, told deputies the incident began as a verbal dispute with the suspect, identified as James Timothy Ivey III, before escalating into violence…
