$11.6M road and rail rehabilitation project expected to revamp Port of Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Port of Pensacola is getting the green light on a project that’s expected to make operations there more effective and efficient.

A large grant is making it all possible. An $11.6 million road and rail rehabilitation project is expected to help revamp the Pensacola Port. It’d also assist those tenants that come here every year.

“The road and rail work for the port started last week,” Mayor D.C. Reeves said. “… And that’s maintenance for the port’s infrastructure that dates back to Hurricane Sally. So glad to get that project up and going for all the job creators out there.”…
