Man sentenced for Monroe Ave. ‘homophobic’ assault

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man has been sentenced on assault charges two years after an incident that police called a hate crime.

Alexander Ortiz has been sentenced to two years in prison. He will then serve post-release supervision — two years for second-degree assault and 365 days for third-degree assault concurrently.
