Duson police sergeant injured after unit intentionally crashed into; suspect arrested

PORT ALLEN, La. (NEWS 15) — A Duson police officer was injured after a vehicle intentionally struck his unit on I-10 East near the Mississippi River bridge and a suspect has been taken into custody, according to the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The Duson Police Department reported the crash pushed Sgt. Calvin Francis into a concrete wall. He was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital with moderate injuries, according to investigators.
