RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Northern Nevada is experiencing unprecedented temperatures for this time of year. The unusually warm temperatures could have some people scratching their heads on their way to the garden.
“We are going to be in the 70s and 80s this week, which is so unusual,” said Pawl Hollis, the owner of the Rail City Garden Center in Sparks.
Hollis is providing tips for handling the fluctuating temperatures. “The first thing you need to know is, when you see yellow, which is Forsythia and Daffodils, you need to get busy. Because your bugs are starting to move, your plants are starting to bud up and bloom out. So you need to get busy when you see yellow in the landscape.”…
