Aurora Avenue Scare as Seattle Fire Stops Galer Street Blaze Cold

A fire that broke out on the exterior of a building along the 700 block of Galer Street near Aurora Avenue North on Tuesday did not get far, thanks to a quick hit from Seattle firefighters.

Crews knocked down the bulk of the flames on the outside of the structure, and officials said the fire never made it inside the building.

According to the Seattle Fire Department, the updated address for the incident was the 700 block of Galer Street, where “fire is under control and did not extend into the building.” The department’s initial social media post did not include any details on the cause of the blaze or possible injuries…
