Deon Lee Muckelvene received 30-48 months in prison for a 2025 stabbing that left a man with a knife protruding from his head in downtown Asheville.
Superior Court Judge Louis Trosch sentenced Muckelvene, 41, for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, a Class E felony. He also received a second sentence of 19-32 months for assault inflicting serious bodily injury, a Class F felony.
