Popular Alabama festival ‘forced’ to end after 20 years due to funding cut, Chamber of Commerce claims

Clay Pinson Chamber of Commerce representatives say they were “forced” to end the beloved Alabama Butterbean festival due to a lack of financial support from city leadership.

In a statement, the Clay Pinson Chamber of Commerce said it is ending events like the Alabama Butterbean Festival, a popular annual event hosted in Pinson.

“The Clay–Pinson Chamber of Commerce confirms that newly elected mayors and council members in both Clay and Pinson have indicated their intention to withdraw financial support from the Chamber,” a statement from the Alabama Butterbean Festival and Clay–Pinson Chamber of Commerce reads…
