Ballistics evidence remains at center of arguments in Oak Grove murder case

Reports concerning evidence were a source of contention Wednesday morning, when murder suspect Oziya Narcisse appeared in Christian Circuit Court.

Narcisse is charged with murder in the 2024 fatal shooting death of Isaiah McCoy at a party in Oak Grove, and he and defense attorney Olivia Adams have been waiting for the Commonwealth to provide a report on the ballistics testing that was a done on a handgun believed to be the murder weapon.

Wednesday morning, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Mark Gilbert informed the court that the testing has been completed and showed the gun and the bullets found matched—but he did not have a final report just yet to provide…
