State regulators warn that pollution controls at a former Walker landfill being considered for the site of a new aquarium may be failing.
Environmental testing conducted in late 2025 at the old Fenske Landfill detected several groundwater contaminants above state criteria, according to data obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request.
