Central Pa. school district to cut ties with superintendent, who continues to receive $227K salary

Manheim Township School District intends to cut ties with Superintendent Caroline Pate-Hefty when its board of directors meets Thursday, according to documents included in the meeting agenda posted online Tuesday afternoon.

And clauses in the agreement suggest the public may learn more about why the district is parting ways with Pate-Hefty less than a year into her contract.

The resignation agreement shows that Pate-Hefty will continue to receive her $227,250 salary through June 30 while remaining on leave. She will also receive a lump-sum severance payment for two personal days and 2.5 vacation days at a per diem rate calculated using Pate-Hefty’s salary…
