Automatic fines coming to Indiana drivers caught speeding in work zones

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) Drivers in Indiana will soon need to slow down or pay up as automatic fines roll out in construction zones statewide.

Starting April 1, the state’s Safe Zones program will activate speed enforcement devices at four work zones — the maximum allowed under state law.

The newest location covers a stretch of Interstate 74 in Shelby and Decatur counties, joining three other sites operating at the same time…
