National Weather Service confirms EF-1 tornado touched down in Clinton County Monday morning

The National Weather Service in Louisville has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Clinton County early Monday morning.

The National Weather Service conducted a survey yesterday and determined the EF-1 tornado touched down just east of Highway 738 southwest of Albany, causing damage to homes in the area as well as destroying or damaging multiple barns and outbuildings.

The weather service said the tornado had a peak wind speed of about 100 miles per hour with a path length of just over one-and-a-quarter miles. They say the maximum width of the tornado was 200 yards…
