Firefighters rescue man who fell into hole at Pomona construction site

The Los Angeles County Department has rescued a man who became trapped after falling into a hole at a Pomona construction site Wednesday afternoon.

Officials received a call at approximately 1:15 p.m. about a worker who was trapped in a confined space at a construction site in the 1800 block of Gillette Road, according to the LAFD.

When they arrived on scene at 12:30 p.m., they found the man had fallen about 15 feet down a construction site hole, according to the LAFD. The worker, identified as a 40-year-old man, was said to be alert and talking during the rescue.
