Court documents reveal more about Prichard police officer accused of stealing guns, shooting roommate

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Court documents have revealed more about what happened when a Prichard police officer allegedly shot his roommate and the stolen guns that were recovered following the shooting.

Ryan Spencer Phillips reportedly shot his roommate, 44-year-old Sanjuanita Coronado, Feb. 12 at a home at 963 Wesley Avenue. According to the documents, the home was owned by Coronado, but Phillips paid all the utilities.

According to a court document, Phillips called 911 immediately after the shooting, and told communications officers that he had just shot his roommate.

“Phillips described (name redacted) breathing as ‘agonal breathing’ and said he could not perform life-saving aid to her because she had a firearm underneath her body,” the document said. “Phillips further advised that he had to exit the residence through a window because (name redacted) body was blocking the door.”…
