ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A man from El Salvador has been sentenced to a U.S. federal prison for possession of a firearm, according to U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin.

According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Florida, 33-year-old Juan De La Cruz Mejia Castro was sentenced to 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm as an alien unlawfully in the United States.
