Ocala dog training facility made of storage units gets narrow approval from county

Marion County officials narrowly approved a request from a local dog breeding and training facility owner who sought permission to return his operation to Ocala.

The special use permit was approved during the Marion County Board of County Commissioners’ regular meeting on Tuesday, March 17. The approval was passed through a split vote (3-2), with MCBCC Chairman Carl Zalak III and Commissioner Michelle Stone dissenting.

With the approval, Libor and Rachael Zavalsky may now operate their K-9 Specialists training facility at their 20-acre property located in the 8200 block of SW 27th Avenue in Ocala.
